Subscriptions & Purchases

  • Manage or cancel: Apple Subscriptions
  • Restore purchases: open the app → Subscription screen → tap Restore Purchases.
  • Free trial: the monthly plan offers a 7‑day free trial via Apple. Reviewers aren’t charged.

Getting Started

  1. Add Vehicle → scan or enter VIN to autofill year/make/model/trim.
  2. Add Repair → add labor hours/rate and parts (cost, qty, markup).
  3. Attach photos, update status (Estimate → In Progress → Awaiting Parts → Invoice Sent → Paid).
  4. Use search and sorting to find jobs; archive finished ones.

FAQ

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud container. We don’t run our own servers or use third‑party analytics.

How does VIN scanning work?

Side Wrench uses the camera to scan barcodes. If you deny camera permission, scanning is disabled but you can still enter VINs manually.

Does VIN decoding send my data anywhere?

Only the VIN is sent over HTTPS to the official NHTSA vPIC API to return make/model/year/trim. No personal identifiers are transmitted.

Can I use the app offline?

Yes. Your data is available offline. iCloud sync resumes when you’re back online.

Which iOS versions are supported?

iOS 17 or later.
